David Arkenstone- In the Wake of the Wind (FLAC)
Last summer, whilst fumbling through one of our local library's CD sections, I came across this gem. The cover and fold out map seemed to be too good to be true, and when I saw in the booklet the gnarly list of synths this guy uses, I knew I needed to check this out. I then realized I didn't have a library card, and registered to do that very thing.
I went home and immediately ripped it to FLAC. Unfortunately, however, that was nearly a year ago. The hard drive I had then has since failed. When I purchased a new external drive, I immediately went back to that library and checked this out again.
And...
That drive failed as well. Never, ever, barring certain death and torture of family members, purchase a Seagate SATA drive.
But I digress.
Long story short, I checked it out a total of three times, and still to this day possess it, seeing as how I am terrible at returning things on time (or at all). This album is an epic journey. A much more epic journey than what I had to go through to get it.
So listen, and enjoy. I've included scans of the cover(s), fold-out map, and story so you can take the journey yourself.
(Also enjoy the hugeness of the map, because it was a bitch to scan and piece together that fucker.)
