Atriarch- Forever the End (2011)
I had the pleasure of seeing these guys play with Agalloch (whom they completely blew out of the water) last fall in Seattle. They were fucking awesome. Tons of atmosphere, heavy dirty riffing, and killer dynamics. The album is a cool listen, but really doesn't quite capture the intensity of what they bring to live performance. Regardless, I highly recommend it to any fan of blackened doom.

Dopamine- Dying Away in the Deep Fall (2010)
Here's a weird one: Post-Black Metal from China. What's weirder is that it's actually good. Like, surprisingly good. It's more post-rock than black metal, but it's definitely cool if you're into that kind of thing.

Magyar Posse- Kings of Time (2004)
Really, really awesome cinematic post-rock from Finland. That's all I can really say on it. Have a listen for yourself:

Ephel Duath- On Death and Cosmos EP (2012)
What the fuck is up with Italy? The only metal I see coming out of there is balls-out cheesy symphonic power and ridiculously agressive experimental shit. Makes for quite a contrast. Anyways, here's the newest EP from Ephel Duath. More enjoyable than Through my Dog's Eyes, but unusually straightforward (and not in a particularly good way) for the band. Still pretty cool, though.

Zu- Carboniferous (2009)
Absolutely insane experimental metal trio from Italy. Sort of similar in feel to Dysrhythmia, though decidedly weirder. And oh yeah, no guitars. Drums, bass, distorted sax, electronics and noise. Off-kilter grooves and atonal madness galore. Definitely worth a listen.

Red Snapper- Scale EP (2011)
One of my favorite bands of all time. Roughly categorized as Acid Jazz/Trip-hop/Atmospheric DnB. This is their newest release, an EP which is supposedly leading up to a new full-length. Great stuff.
Download it in any quality you'd like from their bandcamp.
Process of Guilt- Faemin (2012)
These guys are awesome. Heavy as fuck doom/death with post metal influences from Portugal. Also check out their 2009 release "Erosion" if you haven't.
